Finally, a wallpaper that’s useful!
Ok, so that may sound facetious, but I will tell you that I really feel that way about it! Somebody had produces this fine graphic with the relative sizes of various spacecraft throughout sci-fi history. I love it! But then again I am somewhat of a sci-fi geek!

This is good stuff, I’ll agree. But am I missing something, or did they completely forget the Firefly, Serenity?? Otherwise I find it interesting but incomplete.
I agree that it is incomplete, however what is complete? How many movies/series would have to represented? Other ships of note that are missing include the Millennium Falcon, new versions of the Battlestar Galactica and it’s contepmoraries, the Eagle from Space 1999 and so forth.
I think that the images is both dated and edited to keep its size somewhat management, although that is a guess. For some more detailed and varied information take a look at Jeff Russell’s Starship Demensions. He has compiled a nice site with more (including the Serenity) ships.
Oh that one was fun! The detail is almost scary though. I’m a geek but that took geekdom to a whole new level.
True, somebody has a lot more time on their hands than I do! Haha! Following some of the links on that site I did find the Starship Schematics Database. Just when you thought it could not get any geekier!
